If you leave Samui without having discovered the beauty of the island's mountainous interior, you will have missed an opportunity. There are several companies that offer guided tours that stop at various attractions along the main ring road, then head up into the hills. These trips in all-terrain vehicles may shake your dentures loose, but they are well worth a little bone jarring.
